Got questions? We've got answers! Here are the most common things people ask about Liberads.
Liberads is a self-serve ad platform that connects advertisers with website owners (we call them "partners"). You can buy ad space to promote your site, project, or just share something fun with a community you care about. Think of it as a friendlier, more transparent alternative to traditional ad networks.
Here's what makes us different:
Nope! You can explore available ad spots, check their pricing, and see what types of ads they accept without signing up. You only need an account when you're ready to actually submit an ad.
It's straightforward:
Your credits are held (not charged) while the partner reviews your ad. If approved, the ad goes live. If rejected, you get your credits back.
Credits are Liberads' virtual currency. One credit equals one US dollar ($1 USD). You add credits with real money (via credit card or PayPal), then use those credits to pay for ad spots. Think of it like buying arcade tokens – except these tokens get your ad in front of people!
Unused credits stay in your account and never expire. If your ad gets rejected, credits are automatically returned to your balance. However, once an ad is approved and goes live, those credits are consumed and aren't refundable (just like you can't get a refund on a TV commercial after it airs). That said, if there's a technical error on our end, we'll make it right.
Most ads are reviewed within 24-48 hours, but it depends on the partner's schedule. Some partners review daily, others might take a few days. You'll get an email notification when your ad is approved or rejected.
No worries – it happens! Your credits are automatically released back to your balance. Check the rejection reason in your dashboard (we always explain why). Common reasons include: policy violations, image quality issues, or broken links. Fix the issue and feel free to resubmit!
Absolutely! Once you've created an ad, you can submit it to as many spots as you like. Each submission is reviewed separately, so an ad might be approved on one spot but rejected on another if their policies differ.
Check out our full rules page for details, but the quick version: no illegal stuff, no explicit adult content, no scams, no malware. We also respect each spot's individual policies – some spots don't allow political ads, others don't allow crypto, etc. Always check the spot's policy flags before submitting.
To become a partner, you need to apply and get approved:
Yes! As a partner, you're in control. Every ad submission goes to you for review. You can approve it (and earn revenue) or reject it (no harm, no foul). This ensures only ads you're comfortable with appear on your site. Alternatively, you can configure your spot for platform moderation if you prefer us to handle reviews.
It depends on your pricing and how many ads run on your spot. You set the price per day (or other duration) for your ad spots. When an ad is approved and runs, you earn the majority of that revenue (we take a small platform fee). The more traffic and engagement your site has, the more attractive your spots are to advertisers.
You need at least $25 in available earnings to request a payout. Payouts are processed monthly via Stripe Connect (direct deposit to your bank) or PayPal. Setup takes a few minutes – you'll connect your payment method in your partner dashboard.
Nope! That's one of our core principles. Liberads generates ads server-side, so they work perfectly even on JavaScript-free sites. You just need to add a simple include snippet to your HTML.
Yes! You control the ad size (we support common IAB standard sizes), position on your page, and even basic styling to match your site's design. The ad content itself comes from us, but you decide how it integrates with your layout.
You can pause or remove any ad at any time from your partner dashboard. If an ad turns out to be problematic after approval (broken link, changed content, etc.), just pause it and let us know. We'll investigate and take appropriate action.
Nope! We don't do cross-site tracking. We don't use third-party cookies for advertising purposes. The only cookies we use are essential ones (to keep you logged in) and optional ones (like "remember me" if you check that box). See our Privacy & Cookies page for full details.
Absolutely. We use industry-standard payment processors (Stripe and PayPal) and never store your full credit card details on our servers. All payment data is encrypted and handled by PCI-compliant payment processors.
We collect only what's necessary to run the platform: your email, account activity (ad submissions, approvals, revenue), and security logs. We don't sell your data to anyone, ever. Check our Privacy Policy for the full breakdown.
We support common IAB standard sizes:
Partners can also create custom sizes if needed. Check individual spot specifications before creating your ad.
We accept PNG, JPG/JPEG, GIF, and WebP formats. Keep file sizes reasonable (under 500KB is ideal) for fast loading. Animated GIFs are allowed unless the spot specifically prohibits them.
Not currently. All ads are hosted and served through Liberads to ensure consistency, security, and privacy standards. This also ensures ads work even on JavaScript-free sites.
We accept all major credit/debit cards via Stripe and PayPal payments. Choose whichever you prefer at checkout.
Payment declines usually happen due to: insufficient funds, incorrect card info, or fraud prevention triggers from your bank. Double-check your payment details and try again. If it still doesn't work, contact your bank or try a different payment method.
Yep! Every credit purchase generates a receipt sent to your email. You can also view your complete purchase history in your account dashboard under "Billing History."
It depends on your location. Some jurisdictions require us to collect sales tax or VAT on credit purchases. The exact amount (if any) will be shown before you complete your purchase.
Absolutely! Many of our advertisers are indie devs and creators promoting their own projects. As long as your ad follows our content rules and the spot's policies, you're good to go.
Generally yes, as long as: the product/service being promoted complies with our rules, the ad isn't deceptive about what people will find when they click, and the destination site isn't spammy or low-quality. Some partners may not allow affiliate ads, so check spot policies.
It depends on the spot's policies. Some partners allow political content, others don't. Look for the "Political Advertising" policy flag on each spot's page. Even if allowed, political ads must still follow basic rules: no misinformation, no voter suppression, no hate speech.
First offense: usually just an ad rejection with an explanation. Repeated violations: account warnings. Serious violations (illegal content, fraud, severe abuse): account suspension or ban. We're not trying to be harsh – we just need to keep the platform safe and trustworthy for everyone.
